- One year is one year. PLR was bought on 31 December 2024, so 2025 is the first and only season under this management. Nothing on this page is a before-and-after result. It shows where the ranch sat for 17 years and where year one landed against that.
- The comparison is a donut: 2,200 acres of PLR inside 5,989 acres of the ground that surrounds it, out to a square drawn in onX. Neighbours are every quarter adjacent to the place, which is why they share its soils, slope and weather.
- The gap, not the level, is the headline. A wet year lifts both sides and a dry year drops both; only the distance between them is about the ground.
- A ring is only a control if it moved with the ranch when nothing was being done differently. Across the 17 pre-purchase years the two sides tracked at r 0.953 on production and r 0.823 on perennial cover.
- Cells touching the fence line are dropped on both sides. A 30 m pixel spanning the boundary is a blend of the two things being compared.
- The 375-acre parcel PLR sold is excluded from both sides. Ground has to keep the same membership across the record or the comparison changes shape underneath itself.
- Perennial cover is a stock and does not normally move far in one season. A large one-year change in it is more likely rest and destocking showing up in standing vegetation than root-level recovery. Year two is what will separate those.
- RAP production is modeled herbaceous growth, not harvested yield, available forage or animal intake. Its bands ship already converted to pounds per acre and no further conversion is applied.
- Crop ground is not split out yet. When the cropped quarters inside and around PLR are drawn, this page will carry the same crop and pasture cuts safr.blueprintag.com does.
